As such it enjoys spectacular long distance views with hardly another house to be seen, and is ideally placed for walking direct from the door along the nearby ‘Nun’s Causey’, a centuries old stone path leading to the Priory through a wildflower-filled wood. Reeth is just 2 miles and offers a small selection of shops and pubs, whilst historic Richmond is 6 miles and offers a wider selection of shops together with the castle, cobbled market place and Georgian Theatre. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
