Extra Amenities

This wonderful hideaway enjoys a superb position within Whitby town centre and is just a stone’s throw from the magnitude of independent cafés, bistros and restaurants within this seaside location, ideal for exploring the many delights this town has to offer. Take in the sights and watch the world pass by from the comfort of the living room. You have front row seats to the view over the harbour, with the imposing HM Bark Endeavour alongside the bobbing little fishing boats. Whitby is very proud of its seafaring heritage and you can still watch the fisherman at work, or even join them on a trip out to sea.
You are situated up high above the bustling ever popular streets, the entrance to the apartment itself has views over the rooftops giving you a sense of being far away from and up above the world below. It’s peaceful and tranquil with unobstructed views across the harbour and beyond. The apartment benefits from a lift and is on the flat level part of the town, so you do not need to tackle lots of stairs or steep hills to enjoy these delightful views.

A great choice for those who are from an older generation or those with younger children as it is so accessible - being lift served and the apartment itself is all on one level. Parking, which the kind owner provides, is in a public car park.
Fulfilling your culinary needs is a well-equipped kitchen, where you can rustle up a tasty treat that can be enjoyed at the dining table, which offers delightful views as you tuck into your home-cooked meal or enjoy a deserved glass of wine. The charm of the property is continued into the bedrooms, both beautifully furnished and decorated with one en-suite and one main bathroom. Perfect for two couples or a family. If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, you and your loved one will be spoilt for choice by the eateries that await you within the town. Choose to sit at the harbour side and tuck into the famous Whitby fish and chips, or dine at one of the many elegant restaurants serving delicious seafood, or perhaps head to a traditional smokehouse and sample their kippers.

Attractions within the town are plentiful, with opportunities to soak up the sun at the beach or brush up on the local history by climbing the 199 steps to discover the famous ruins of Whitby Abbey which inspired Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula. If you are feeling more adventurous, head along the coastline to the popular resort town of Scarborough or choose to walk one of the paths upon the majestic North York Moors National Park. The steam railway is another great way to explore, the train puffs its way through heather laced moorland to scenic little villages – you may recognise the train platform from Harry Potter or the set from the 1960’s themed TV series “Heartbeat” along the way. Beach 450 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 175 yards.
