With lovely harbour views, this wonderful three-storey cottage offers the perfect location for those looking to explore Whitby and the surrounding area.
Sander’s House was once the home of influential business man Jonathan Sanders back in the 1800s. This beautifully renovated three-storey cottage offers lovely views of the harbour, and has been thoughtfully furnished and decorated to a high standard. Well-equipped with roll top bath, en-suite facilities, a fabulous kitchen/dining area complete with range cooker, two fridges and even a wine cooler, and a comfortable living area with a Smart TV, this is the perfect property for a family holiday.
Situated just off the cobbled streets, Whitby has a wonderful array of shops, boutiques, pubs, tea rooms and even an ice cream shop, all sat on the doorstep. The famous Whitby Abbey sits above on the hilltop behind the property and is just a short stroll and 199 steps away.
This vibrant, bustling town is ideal for those who want plenty to do, with a marina, beaches and abbey, there is something for everyone. Whitby is a bustling fishing town which is home to many amazing events throughout the year, including the bi-annual Goth Weekender, an annual folk festival, a Christmas Festival and the Whitby Regatta. Take a walk up the 199 steps to the gothic abbey made famous by Bram Stokers novel Dracula, and enjoy breathtaking views across the town. Hop aboard one of the tourist boats for a different view of the town, and there is also the possibility of whale and dolphin sightings if the season is right.
Head out into the North York Moors National park where you will find fantastic scenery and some natures finest countryside.
Perfect for walkers, make your own unique trail across the bracken and heather, or join up with the Cleveland Way or the Cinder track for a recognised route.
Whether its waterfalls such as Falling Foss, or stunning coastline and bays such as Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes, there are plenty of photo opportunities nearby.
