There is a large farmhouse style kitchen with an Aga and huge dining table, ideal for enjoying meals together. There are also two living rooms providing plenty of space for families to spread out. The sunny garden is perfect for relaxing in on warm summer’s days, and throughout the winter you can enjoy cosy evenings around the wood burner.

The pretty village of Linton-on-Ouse is 1 mile away and stands on the north bank of the River Ouse, where there is a village store.

Beningbrough Hall, Gallery and Gardens is close by with an excellent farm shop on the estate and a café serving local produce and home-baking. From the doorstep of the farmhouse there are lovely walking and cycling trails and an abundance of attractions to explore in this area of North Yorkshire. Aldwark Manor Hotel is a only a 10-minute drive away with a spa and popular golf course. The lovely village of Newton-on-Ouse is 1 mile away where you will find two country pubs.

The ancient walled city of York, 10 miles, is steeped in history and packed with museums, art galleries and theatres.

York appeals to all ages with festivals, riverboat trips, horse racing, shopping and exquisite architecture. Days out can be enjoyed at Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks, Newby Hall with beautiful gardens and adventure play park, Harlow Carr Gardens and a scenic trip aboard the famous steam train can be taken from Pickering through the North Yorkshire Moors to the fishing port of Whitby. The elegant spa town of Harrogate and market town of Ripon are within a 45-minute drive, and the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are all easily accessible.
