The Granary is a stunning barn conversion set on a working arable farm within unspoilt, idyllic open countryside in the heart of a 3,000 acre private estate. It is located on the outskirts of the pretty village of Long Marston and only 7 miles from York. Over 150 years old The Granary has been lovingly converted, retaining many of its original features and now offers luxury throughout providing the perfect base for your family holiday. The kitchen/dining room is huge, and with floor to ceiling windows covering one entire wall, this area is flooded with light and absolutely has the ’wow’ factor. Beautiful stone floors flow throughout the whole of the ground floor and with a central island, granite work tops and a sleek contemporary kitchen this will be the chef in the family’s favourite room. The rest of the family will be able to sit at the large oak table and watch with anticipation whilst delicious meals are cooked for them.
Leading from the kitchen/dining room up two stone steps is the large open plan sitting room which features a bar, large wood burner and a mezzanine gallery.
With large comfortable sofas surrounding the fire and a 50" Smart TV, this is the ideal place to put your feet up and relax after a long day exploring the local area. On the first floor all bedrooms are en-suite with bathrooms of an exceptional standard.
Three of the bedrooms offer zip and link kingsize beds providing extra flexibility to cater for all of your family’s needs. A wonderful feature of The Granary is the children’s ‘dorm room’ sleeping six in single beds which also has its own large en-suite with a freestanding roll top bath. On arrival it will be a race upstairs to get your own perfect room! No expense has been spared and with great quality beds and deep mattresses the whole family is guaranteed a great night’s sleep.
The Granary has been decorated to an incredible standard throughout with nothing spared and has wonderful art work on display. To the front of the Granary is an enclosed landscaped garden with far reaching views across the Vale of York and to the rear a beautifully designed communal courtyard.
The courtyard offers an area of tranquillity with uplight trees and rosemary bushes scenting the evening area, the perfect place to have an evening drink and sit and enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. A hot tub can also be hired from a local company and delivered to the cottage for an added touch of luxury (by direct arrangement with the owner).
The Granary is incredibly located in an idyllic unspoilt countryside, 7 miles from York, 7 miles from Wetherby, 16 miles from Harrogate and 27 miles from Leeds. Access from the A1 North/South and A64 East/West. The coast is also easily accessible, about an hour’s drive away. The Granary offers an excellent retreat from a busy world with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. Everything is on your doorstop! There are also walks and cycle routes from the property. Beach 48 miles. Shop and restaurant 2½ miles, pub 1 mile
