Brand new for 2023, Nature’s Nook is a timber interior, single-level riverside holiday lodge standing alongside the River Yare, with fishing available (in season, permit required). It has its own quay headed mooring and outside seating furniture, this is ideal for watching the wonderful wildlife and boats pass by.
The lodge is located on the Riverside Estate within the village of Brundall, the centre for boat building and boat hire, which has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, hairdresser, Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, bistro/seafood restaurant and local pubs all serving good food, one of the pubs being just across theriver and one recently refurbished (Autumn 2022) just a short stroll away.
The famous Norfolk Broads is a National Park with over 125 miles of waterways best explored by river. Daily boat hire is available locally, booking being recommended during the summer season. An ideal location to leave the car at home and jump on the train with links to Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
The traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth, a 15-mile stretch of glorious sandy beach with pier, entertainment, Sea Life Centre, bowling, amusements, donkey rides, bouncy castles, wax world, model village, fun fair for both small children and adrenaline rides, crazy golf, water park, restaurants, cafés, and pubs is a great day out.
Great Yarmouth town centre has a shopping mall and market square; a great place for seeking fresh fish, sea food and fruit, along with supermarkets. There are also has two stadiums one for grey hound racing, stock car racing and another for horse racing.
RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen is 3 miles away. Nearby is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens, which has a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens. The village of Strumpsham has a steam museum and Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. Pleasurewood Hills and BeWilderwood are close by too.
