Staying in Hampshire

Not surprisingly Hampshire is a real draw for sailors, The Cowes week being the pinnacle of the sailing calendar. It has lots of marinas and pretty coastal towns. Inland the main geological features are the South Downs and New Forest, both popular spots for walking and riding. There are lots of great villages and towns, with many 'flint stone' houses and pubs. There are cathedrals, stately homes and lots of interesting museums you won't be short of things to do. Treat it like a multi center break if you can stay a week or two - and have the city time and then a rural escape - if you want to hop over the water you can do that too!
