Walcott is situated on the north coast, east of Mundesley, with Norwich, Cromer and the Norfolk Broads all within easy reach offering an excellent holiday base. Nearby Bacton Woods, is ideal for walking, cycling and woodland picnics. Good fishing, birdwatching, sailing and several golf courses available nearby.

Bacton, 1½ miles, Mundesley, 5 miles, Cromer, 12 miles, and Sheringham, 16 miles, all have sandy beaches. Cromer with promenade and pier. Sheringham is home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, passing through countryside designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, visiting nearby coastline villages. Livelier seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 22 miles, for fun fair, Sea Life Centre, indoor leisure complex with aqua pool, model village, butterfly farm, amusement arcades and shopping centre. Wroxham, capital of the Norfolk Broads, 12 miles, offer daily boat hire and river trips to explore the expanse of waterways, a natural haven for wildlife, plenty of picnic opportunities by the riverside and many riverside inns and cafés.
