Uggeshall village is perfect for walkers and cyclists with country lanes and footpaths on well-marked routes to explore and golf nearby. You’ll find pretty houses, thatched cottages, a handy village shop and a local pub, all within a mile’s walk.

If you can drag yourself away from Treeview Lodge, just a 3-mile drive with bring you to the traditional seaside town of Southwold, famous for its colourful beach huts and pier.

Take in the sea air and don’t forget to sample the delicious fish and chips and locally produced Adnams beer or gin.

Head inland to the pretty town of Beccles, with its market square, boutique shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Set within the Broad’s National Park, you could enjoy a boat trip or hire a canoe. On a sunny day Beccles offers a lido, set beside the river, great fun for the whole family and the perfect spot for a picnic too. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile
