Set within the beautifully picturesque Norfolk backdrop, this fantastic holiday cottage is quietly tucked away on the perimeter of the wonderful Hockwold Hall Estate, within the southwest Norfolk village of Hockwold cum Wilton.
The cottage provides spacious open plan, excellent quality accommodation. Benefiting from 2 double en-suite bedrooms, a very comfortable spacious lounge which has a double sofa bed to provide additional sleeping, and a well-equipped modern fitted kitchen. The lawned garden wraps around the property with outdoor terrace and garden furniture.
There is river fishing available nearby. An ideal location for exploring the delights of both Norfolk and Suffolk and perfect for bird watchers, walkers, cyclists, and with a golf course nearby.
High Lodge Forest Centre in the heart of Thetford Forest with its cycle and footpaths, is where you can enjoy endless walks through one of Britain’s largest expanse of pine forest. Bike hire is available to enjoy a relaxing ride along the many cycling trails that also weave through the forest.
Many seasonal concerts and events also take place in and around the woodlands, and make for a great evening out, and was the location for the filming of ’Dads Army’, and the museum for the show is a must see for any fan.
The Norfolk coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, enjoys long stretches of sandy beaches and is only a 55-minute drive away. Only 25 miles from the property is Bressingham Steam Museum and Gardens, offering nearly 20 acres of tranquil and beautifully laid out gardens to explore, along with working locomotives to ride on whilst enjoying the scenery. Also within easy reach is the National Trust Oxborough Hall, West Stow Anglo-Saxon village and country park.
