Located close to the Leicestershire/Rutland/Northamptonshire border, between the A1 and M1 in the quiet village of Great Easton, this unusual property, adjoining the main house, is easily accessible and provides an ideal holiday base from which to explore the area. It offers spacious accommodation in a stone-built, Grade II listed property, that has traditional English cottage decor with many antique pieces of furniture and accessories. With fishing close by, two reservoirs, golf courses, walks and cycle routes throughout the area, plus historic houses and a castle overlooking the village, there is plenty to do for the more energetic with good country pubs to stop at for refreshments.

The historic market towns of Uppingham, Oakham, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough and Stamford are worth a visit. Nearby parks include Wickstead park and West Lodge Farm park are ideal for days out with children.
For a more relaxed stay, there are more than four hundred books on a variety of subjects to loose yourselves in. To curl up with a book in the garden room overlooking the garden, is lovely break for the less energetic.

Also handy for visiting is Richard III’s tomb in Leicester Cathedral and plus The National Space Centre. Althorp House, home of Princess Diana, is also within range, as is Geoff Hamilton’s Garden. The railway station is only 5 miles away, with just an hour’s journey to London, pickups from the station can be arranged with the owner. There are also regular buses from the village to Market Harborough, Uppingham, Oakham, Melton Mowbray Corby and Leicester. There is a fantastic pub/restaurant 176 yards away.
