Hot tub hire (subject to availability) can be arranged with the owner at an additional cost. You will find an enclosed terrace at the front of the house, another sunny seating area with a former billiard table providing the vast outdoor table, and pizzas can be cooked in the outdoor pizza oven. A grassed orchard with established fruit trees completes the outdoor space. A dog wash and towels are available to clean those muddy paws, and ample off street parking is provided.

Within a few minutes walking distance is the local village pub serving fine cask ales and food. The market town of Belper stands at the heart of the Derwent Valley which was granted World Heritage Site status in 2001. The Derwent Valley Visitor Centre located within the Strutt’s North Mill gives visitors the chance to see inside the mill, cotton spinning, and discover more about the town’s history and the industrial revolution.

Belper River Gardens offers visitors a tranquil setting to view the River Derwent and is located adjacent the Strutt’s historic North Mill and dominant red bricked East Mill. The industrial-inspired children’s play area and café are open all year, whilst in the summer months, rowing boat hire, and brass bands playing in the bandstand can be enjoyed.
Belper town centre, winner of the 2020 Champion High Street Award for England, boasts many independent shops, cafés, pubs, bars and a cinema.

Traditional towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell are nearby. The magnificent Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Pooles Cavern are just a few of the attractions, and Matlock Bath is only a 20-minute drive, well known for its riverside parade of fish and chip shops, arcades, cable cars and aquarium. For the younger guests, Matlock Bath is the home of Gulliver’s Kingdom. Thrill seekers will find Alton Towers around a 45-minute drive away. Shops 1 mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
