This idyllic barn conversion can be found in the beautiful Peak District village of Parwich, which in 2015 was quite wonderfully voted by the ‘Sunday Times’ as one of the best places to live in Britain.
Set out over one level, upon entering the cosy cottage, you’ll find an open plan living space with a spectacular beamed ceiling and wood burner. The kitchen is beautifully finished with a granite work surface, and in the cosy bedroom you’ll find a double bed and en-suite facilities.
For that extra element of luxury the property benefits from underfloor heating throughout. Outside is a small seating area perfect for enjoying the goings on of village life.
Set around a pond and village green, Parwich is home to a delightful country pub and makes a great base for exploring the surrounding Peak District countryside. Keen walkerswill relish the excellent routes available across the nearby High Peak & Tissington Trails, together with Dovedale and Carsington Water.
Nearby you’ll also find the pretty villages of Ilam (20 mins) and Alstonefield (10 mins), and the market towns of Ashbourne (15 mins) and Leek (35 mins). The magnificent country houses of Chatsworth House and Kedleston Hall are a 30-minute drive, and as for any thrill seekers there is Alton Towers!
