The popular Peak District villages of Chinley, Hayfield and Chapel-en-le-Frith are just 3 miles away, and the spa town of Buxton and ever popular village of Castleton can be reached in just 15 minutes by car.

Bakewell and the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are just 30 minutes away by car, as is the National Trust’s Lyme Park and the historic plague village of Eyam.
You will find shops in Chinley along with Chinley station just 1. 5 miles away, and Chapel-en-le-Frith only 2 miles away. The nearest bus service can be found 1000 yards away at New Smithy, servicing Chinley and Whaley Bridge in one direction, and Chapel-en-le-Frith and Buxton in the other direction.

There are frequent Skyline buses at Chapel-en-le-Firth which service Buxton and Manchester airport. Chinley station is on the Manchester to Sheffield route and may be used to combine a walk from Dewsnaps to Edale or other stations along the Hope Valley, to return by rail or vice versa.
