This converted schoolhouse, which dates to 1825, is Grade II listed and has character and charm in abundance. It is adorned with massive oak beamed ceilings throughout.
On the ground floor you will find a large open plan living and dining space. This social space includes an impressive arched window that floods the light in, along with a wood burner which gives a glow and warmth on those cooler evenings. Comfortable sofas provide the perfect spot to cosy up in front of the fire. The kitchen can be found just off the main living room, its fully equipped with all you will need to cook up a storm during your stay. There is also a ground floor shower room.
This beautifully appointed property boasts two luxurious bedroom suites.

The ground floor master bedroom has an emperor size bed, a magnificent arched window, a Smart TV, and a full en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, and toilet. The second double bedroom is reached via a spiral staircase and overlooks the main living space. The School Room is not suitable for babies and young children but children over 12 years are welcome. You are in stumbling distance to a community pub which also serves great pub food should cooking not be on the agenda.
Beyond your wonderful abode there is a plethora of activities to enjoy. Remember to pack your clubs as on the doorstep you will find several award-winning golf courses. Nearby Ledbury offers stunning cobbled streets, steeped in history, fantastic artisan shops and plenty of restaurants and tea rooms to enjoy. If it’s the great outdoors you are after, dust off your walking boots as you are spoilt for choice with country walks in abundance. Be sure to ramble the fields and woods of Dymock, especially the Daffodil Way public footpath in spring, it’s totally idyllic.

You are also surrounded and in easy reach of two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Malvern Hills is just 20 minutes away, and The Royal Forest of Dean is 30 minutes. The Forest of Dean has wonderful cycle tracks, fishing, high ropes, and boating lakes. The nearby River Wye offers a picturesque lunch spot followed by canoeing and paddle boarding expeditions from Symonds Yat nearly all year round too. Cheltenham can also be reached with a 40-minute drive, worth a visit to see the Regency splendour and to partake in some retail therapy, or maybe a flutter at the famous racecourse. A little further afield, the honey-hued villages of The Cotswolds can be reached within a 50-minute drive. However you choose to spend your time, The School Room will certainly not disappoint. It’s the ultimate luxury base for a countryside jaun
