A 5-minute walk along the farm track leads to Hawton Waters Woodland where guests can explore over 170 acres of private woodland and walks along the River Devon which runs through the farm. Swim the lake or simply spend hours of walking in quiet secluded countryside.

History fans will love visiting The National Trust’s Workhouse in Southwell, where you can tour its fascinating grounds and learn of its rich history, be sure to stop at the inn for some lunch, before enjoying an afternoon packed with family-fun at Robin Hood’s Wheelgate Park.
You can also visit the Civil War Museum, International Antiques Fairs at Newark Showground, regeneration of Nottingham Castles and its Caves, and The Halls of Justice.
