Extra Amenities

These delightful holiday barn conversions (30813, 30814, 30815 , 30816, 30817, UKC4135 and UKC4136) are situated on the owners’ working dairy farm in the picturesque location of Arlingham, Gloucestershire. Located in the horseshoe bend of the River Severn, Arlingham is surrounded by fantastic views of the Cotswold Hills and the Forest of Dean. Clay pigeon shooting on the farm can be arranged at weekends for either groups or individual shoots by prior arrangement with the owner.

Within a lovely woodland walk you will find the local village inn, with home cooked food, real ales, fine wines and a warm country welcome. Also within walking distance is another award-winning inn, renowned for its fresh seafood. Several other pubs, restaurants and take-aways are only a short drive away.

This wonderful area is an ideal base for circular riverside and country walks, and to explore the Severn Way.

The river runs for 2 miles along the farm, with its own walks and perfect picnic spots. To reach the holiday properties, guests will need to pass through the village of Frampton-on Severn, which is home to the longest village green in England offering two pubs, a village shop, a café and canal side walks as well as annual events such as Frampton Feast and Giffords Circus (both in August), and Frampton Country Fair (September). Further along the canal bank in the village of Saul, guests will find a café which offers a wonderful spot for tea and cake whilst watching the boats go by. Saul also has a marina.

Also within easy driving are Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetland Park, Cotswold Water Park, Berkeley Castle and Butterfly House, Prinknash Abbey (bird and deer park), Thornbury Castle and Cheltenham Race Course.

The historic town of Tewkesbury with its famous abbey, Westonbirt Arboretum, Stratford-upon-Avon, the Roman city of Bath, Regency Cheltenham and the cathedral cities of Bristol and Gloucester with their historic docks are also close by.

Many National Trust properties in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, including Berrington Hall, Brockhampton Estate, Hanbury Hall and Woodchester Mansion, are worth a visit, as are Bristol, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and Cirencester. Within easy driving are golf, ski slopes, coastal walks, Cotswold walks, plus the Gloucester and Sharpness canal walks. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mil
