Right on the shore of Lake Windermere this first floor apartment enjoys stunning, uninterrupted views over the lake towards Loughrigg Fell, the Langdale Pikes, Old Man of Coniston and Wray Castle, all from the large bay window in the living room. Transformed from a Victorian lakeside hotel into beautiful apartments, the accommodation has two en-suite bedrooms and a further bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, ideal for couples sharing or a small family. It is next to Ambleside Pier where you can hop on one of the steamers or take a leisurely cruise across the lake. Popular Ambleside centre is an easy 15 - 20 minute walk. Here you can browse the gift shops, purchase local walking guides or sample some Lakeland produce at one of the cafes, pubs or restaurants. There are also lots of footpaths leading from the town towards Loughrigg, Wansfell and Troutbeck Bridge. Windermere is an easy 10 minute drive whilst Grasmere and Keswick to the north offer plentiful fell walks to discover. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 10 yards.
Need a hand deciding - croft or holiday by the sea? North West England is very hospitable. There is plenty of cottages that are pet friendly in Lancashire , Cheshire or Peak District - some have a local resaurant within walking distance.
