Corner House is a 200-year-old, detached, Grade II listed cottage situated in the heart of the village of High Lorton within the Lake District National Park. Corner House retains a wealth of original features such as the large inglenook fireplace in the dining area, containing a warm and cosy multi-fuel burner, perfect to return home to after a day exploring the area. Enjoy the window seats with views to the fells - where you certainly won’t tire of the view!
Corner House is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful North Lakes. The Market town of Cockermouth is just 3 miles away with a good range of shops and farmers’ market, while Keswick is only 8 miles away and is also renowned for its spectacular setting and a host of excellent restaurants and tea rooms, as well as an abundance of outdoor clothing shops. A ‘must’ is a visit to Go Ape at Whinlatter Visitor Centre, a forest adventure with ropes, zip wires and nets high up in the forest canopy. Fishing can be found nearby. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
