There are delightful village walks and cyclists will enjoy winding through the attractive villages and wild flower-laden country lanes. Ullswater, known as the most romantic lake, and the Keswick area with its spectacular high fells, are both within a 20-minute drive. In addition, the property is within easy reach of the Pennines, Hadrian’s Wall and the Border country, and the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland National Parks.

There are also a number of historic properties in the area, including Hutton in the Forest (4 miles), Lowther Castle (10 miles) and Dalmain House (11 miles).
