Extra Amenities
Nestled within 13½ acres in a peaceful location within the stunning Ruby countryside, on the edge of the popular village of Halwill Junction, Springfield Meadows is the ideal choice for a fishing holiday or relaxing lakeside retreat at any time of year. These three pretty detached lodges, Primrose Lodge (ref UK13447) and Foxglove Lodge (ref UK13448) and Bluebell Lodge (ref UK13449), were refurbished in late 2019 by the owners and offer a great base to explore both Devon and Cornwall. With three well-stocked fishing lakes just a stone’s throw from the lodges, you can really kick back and recharge your batteries with a few hours fishing, or why not enjoy a spot of lunch with a good book on the private covered deck area.
This tranquil location attracts an abundance of wildlife and you might be lucky enough to spot barn owls, buzzards, deer, foxes, badgers and kingfishers. The village of Halwill Junction has a village shop for all your daily essentials, a lovely fish and chip shop, church, post office and village inn. There is a nature reserve here with the Ruby Way cycle path. Holsworthy, 7 miles, has a good selection of local shops and supermarkets along with a leisure centre, restaurants, takeaways, cafés and a weekly market.
Roadford Reservoir is just 20 minutes away, where you can enjoy sailing and walking and where there is a lovely lakeside café. Dingles Heritage Fairground is nearby and the wide golden sands of Widemouth Bay and Bude are just 17 miles away, with excellent surfing, pretty coves and dramatic coastal walking. Horse riding, water sports and golf are all on offer locally and Dartmoor National Park is a must for nature lovers. Beach 16 miles. Shop, restaurant and pub ½ mile. The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests
