Tucked away in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, deep within the heart of Bodmin Moor, lies a rather special retreat. Here, nature flourishes in all its glory, with the call of the cuckoo echoing through the rugged landscape and the delicate flutter of the exceptionally rare Marsh Fritillary Butterfly gracing the heather-clad moors. Overhead, buzzards soar on thermals while owls keep a watchful eye over the twilight hours. The dramatic, open expanse stretches before you, offering unparalleled tranquillity and breathtaking views. This quaint and cosy barn is the perfect base for exploring this enigmatic region, as well as the striking North Cornwall coast, renowned for its secluded coves, charming fishing villages, and spectacular golden beaches.

The property is close to the small village of St Breward (approx 1. 5 miles) where there is a well-stocked village stores and a village pub serving meals.
A small porch welcomes you before leading into an inviting open-plan living space. To your right, the well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a delicious meal, which can be savoured at the country-style dining table. Just beyond, the double bed nestles under original exposed beams, with the characterful stone walls adding to the barn’s rustic charm. The stylish yet functional bathroom features a shower cubicle and a heated towel rail, ensuring a refreshing experience after a day of adventure. Outside, a delightful private garden awaits, complete with a gazebo for al fresco dining or a quiet evening drink.

As night falls, prepare to be mesmerised by a sky ablaze with stars, the Milky Way spiralling in a celestial dance above.
Venture beyond your hideaway, and a short drive will bring you to the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac, famed as the fictional home of Doc Martin. Explore the enchanting streets of Boscastle or step into the myth and legend of Tintagel. Trebarwith Beach is simply divine, with striking rock formations and golden sands inviting you to linger. Further afield, the iconic harbour town of Padstow beckons, where cobbled streets reveal boutique shops, galleries, and a wealth of restaurants and pubs. Beach 8½ miles.
