Set on the cliffs above the bustling seaside town of Brixham, this delightful cottage has stunning sea views from every floor. From the moment you walk through the door, there are uninterrupted views of the marina and across Torbay. From the master bedroom or from the terraced garden, you will love relaxing and watching the constant activity in the fishing harbour, as the boats come in to unload their catch. You can see across the marina and out to sea and watch the ferries come and go between Torquay, Brixham and Dartmouth. Tastefully furnished with a New England feel/nautical theme, Seaside Stories is a great place for a proper seaside holiday.
The bustling centre of Brixham is a short walk away and there are some great restaurants, fresh fish sellers and a good range of shops to enjoy. Brixham has been a charming and picturesque working fishing port for centuries, with characteristic fisherman’s cottages clustered around the historic harbour where Prince William of Orange landed in 1688. The town has many attractive, winding narrow streets, with colourful cottages, a wide selection of shops, art gallery, craft shops and various cafés, restaurants, pubs and churches. Brixham’s beaches are a mixture of sand, shingle and large pebbles. The popular open-air sea water swimming pool is surrounded by a shingle and rock beach, which is always popular for rock pooling.
Nearby are the wonderful sandy beaches of Broadsands, Goodrington and Paignton. There are lovely coastal footpaths to Berry Head Nature Reserve with its colonies of nesting guillemots and kittiwakes, the Napoleonic fort and the lighthouse. The lighthouse, both the smallest and highest in Britain, enjoys a view that will make you reluctant to leave. The view extends across the town to your left and guests can walk down to the town, harbourside and beaches in 5 minutes. Shops pubs and restaurants ½ mil
