A trip on the steam train to Corfe Castle makes for a great day out, where you can visit the picturesque 11th-century castle on the National Trust site. Hop on board the open top bus to Sandbanks and Bournemouth from where you can catch local boats to Brownsea Island to the red squirrels, in high season, buses also run on occasion to Lulworth Cove.
