Portland itself has some stunning scenery, Portland Castle, museums, great coastal walks and, not to be missed, Portland Bill with superb views. Within easy driving are many watersports, such as fishing, boating, swimming, yachting, canoeing and wind surfing. Weymouth is on your doorstep and has a wonderful sandy beach, many seaside attractions including Jurassic Skyline, Nothe Fort and two nature reserves at Radipole and Lodmoor. Further afield, explore the famous scenic World Heritage Jurassic Coast, Lulworth Cove and perhaps down to Lyme Regis taking in Abbotsbury Swannery and Tropical Gardens, or inland to the Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World.
