Situated on the outskirts of Bridlington in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, Meadow View is a great base to visit the Yorkshire Coast and the Wolds. Nestled in a truly rural location, there is no Wi-Fi and the phone signal is poor. This property is just a short drive away from the lovely sandy beach that Bridlington is so famous for. The large sweeping beach with traditional donkeys and beach huts is the idyllic location for spending some time with your little ones and escaping the stresses of the hustle and bustle of city life. Bridlington still has a very busy working harbour where you can watch the fishermen bring in their catch and buy the fresh fish down on the seafront.
For entertainment, Bridlington has two fantastic venues, the leisure centre and The Spa, great for that special evening out with International acts throughout the year.
A short drive and you are in the resorts of Flamborough Head, Filey and Scarborough. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton with its thousands of puffins perched on the cliffs is also well worth a visit. There are plenty of cliff edge viewing platforms, or you can watch the chicks hatch on the TV screens in the exhibition centre. The Yorkshire Wolds are just a short drive away with some of the most beautiful countryside and wildlife, where you can watch the boxing hares, or catch glimpses of the deer in the distance.
The rolling countryside has been made famous by the artist David Hockney, and with an abundance of wonderful walks through tiny hamlets and breathtaking scenery, this property will leave you wanting more.
The medieval city of York is less than an hour away, which is famous for the minster and the largest cathedral in Northern Europe. The city has been voted on many occasions as one of the top ten cities to visit, especially amongst international guests. York is full of character and charm with cobbled streets, street entertainers and a wealth of visitor attractions. Beach 3 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 3 mile
