Bridle paths and cycle tracks pass close by the property, with the tumbling waters of the River Esk running through the village. Glaisdale boasts a village shop with small post office, a butcher’s shop and a friendly local pub with adjoining cafe. Explore the many pretty villages tucked away deep in the valleys. The ancient seaport of Whitby, just 8 miles away, has a bustling harbour, the abbey ruins and a pretty marina.
Whitby is known for its connections with Captain James Cook and boasts a 3-mile stretch of sandy beach, perfect for a relaxing day at the seaside. Visit smugglers’ coves at Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay, both within a short drive, or take a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors steam train based at Grosmont.
