The Old Barn is situated next to the Scarborough to Whitby road, which winds its way over the picturesque North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The gravelled driveway provides parking for two cars, and on arrival you are sure to be delighted by the spacious garden overlooking rolling fields and attracting wildlife such as rabbits and deer. There is plenty of seating outside as well as a luxurious hot tub and barbecue, perfect for entertaining of an evening.
Stepping inside this one of a kind conversion is sure to make you feel inspired. The owners have beautifully furnished each room and every detail has been thoughtfully considered, with warm and inviting colours, exposed walls, well laid-out rooms and home-from-home comforts.
The living room has deep high quality sofas set around the wood burner, with glass doors opening out onto the landscaped garden. There are 2 steps from here up to the dining room, leading through to a well-equipped kitchen. Each bedroom is unique and lovingly furnished, enticing you to tumble into bed and become enveloped in soft opulent layers.
Cloughton has two friendly local pubs just a short stroll away. A little further along is Hayburn Wyke, a woodland walk with a waterfall cascading over the cliff top onto a secluded cove. There is an 18th-century coaching inn here, serving hearty meals as well as tasty desserts. Why not treat yourself to some food after a busy day of exploring? The Cleveland Way and the Cinder Track are scenic walking trails nearby, taking in Ravenscar and Robin Hood’s Bay on the way towards the seafaring town of Whitby.
The North Yorkshire Moors National Park has some delightful little villages amongst the vast stretches of heather strewn hills and valleys. There is also the ancient Dalby Forest which has brilliant cycle and walking trails to be explored. Enjoy the great outdoors and take in your surroundings whilst having the most incredible base to return to, making your holiday one to treasure. Beach 1¾ miles.
