Extra Amenities

Located in a stunning semi-rural location above cosmopolitan Hebden Bridge, Hardcastle Crags Cottage is just minutes away from the beautiful National Trust owned wooded valley, after which it takes its name. As one of a small, attractive row of stone-built terraced cottages, the location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts being surrounded by enchanting Pennine countryside. At Hardcastle Crags you can walk amongst woodland, waterfalls and streams, or alternatively the 50-mile circular Calderdale Way passes just metres from the door. In addition there are countless other public footpaths and bridleways available, the river path to town being a particularly picturesque stroll.

Once inside, the cottage has been tastefully and lovingly renovated, with wonderful features such as exposed stone being retained. In the master bedroom you will find a romantic, French antique bed adorned with Egyptian cotton sheets, and in the stylish bathroom a roll-top bath takes pride of place. The farmhouse style kitchen has been finished with a contemporary edge, and the cosy living room has both a piano and guitar for entertainment together with Netflix and Sky TV.
Hebden Bridge itself was once named by British Airway’s High Life magazine as ’one of the world’s funkiest towns’. It is a thriving market town boasting a wonderful array of independent shops, cafés and bars, as well as a 1920’s Art Deco cinema and a live music venue.

Hebden Bridge railway station is Grade II listed and has retained its Victorian heritage with regards to style and colours. Here you can take a direct train to the city of Manchester in just 30 minutes and Leeds in around an hour. Other nearby towns and villages include the attractive village of Heptonstall, with its two historic pubs, and Haworth, the renowned home of the Brontë sisters. Finally, Hebden Bridge is around an hour from both the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Parks. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 350 yard
