Brandy’s Barn is a well-presented, detached barn conversion that is bursting with character and references to the nearby stables and horses. Once home to Richard III and known in former times as the ’Windsor of the North’, the ruins of Middleham Castle are certainly worth a visit. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and ramblers too, guests will find an abundance of established public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that lead directly from the doorstep of Brandy’s Barn and out through the surrounding fields towards and through the Wensleydale Dales and beyond. Walkers will find themselves on a journey through heather covered grouse moors, open countryside, natural woodland and pretty little Yorkshire villages.

Only 3 miles away from the traditional market town of Leyburn, guests will be able to visit the local chocolate museum, tea pottery and Tennants Auction House, as well as enjoying a browse around the weekly local farmers market.
The Forbidden Corner is also a must see and is situated just 4 miles away. This hidden folly offers twists and turns in all directions making it popular for adults as well as children. The Wensleydale Railway stops in Leyburn and will take guests on a journey through some of the most spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales.
