The beautiful cottage garden complements the exterior, great for enjoying breakfast in the summer, al fresco dining or unwinding after a days’ adventure with a glass of wine.
Perfectly poised to discover both Suffolk and Norfolk, there is sure to be something to keep you entertained. The wonderful market towns of Bungay (9 minutes’ drive) and Beccles (15 minutes’ drive) where the River Waveney passes through, for great riverside walks, and waterside boating activities.

Each offer independent boutiques and chain shops, an excellent collection of eateries including fine dining, to many cafés serving homemade cakes and savouries. Visit the weekly markets, which are excellent for all things local, should you wish to enjoy a night of cooking and dining in.
Beccles is also home to the lido open-air heated swimming pool, popular with many local swimmers. The quintessential town of Southwold, with its miles of unspoilt landscape, is just waiting to be explored.

From the harbour and beach to numerous pubs and restaurants, perfect for a cosy candlelit dinner, before a romantic coastal walk. Slightly further afield is the lovely coastal resort of Aldeburgh, just as inviting, with a good selection of restaurants, some serving fresh seafood, High Street with shops, as well as great walking opportunities. Visit the cathedral city of Norwich, 19 miles, for culture, theatre, castle museum, plenty of eateries, excellent shopping opportunities and a market square.
