This detached, single-storey accommodation offers a comfortable and cosy retreat, located in the hamlet of Welborne. The property is situated on a rural, quiet country lane next to the owners’ home and a golf course. With country views to the front, the enclosed courtyard to the rear and the owner’s garden beyond. Village shops, cafés, pubs and restaurant are all just a short drive away.
Welborne is ideally located in the centre of Norfolk, perfect for visiting the North Norfolk coast, Holt, Norwich, the Broads, RSPB reserves, Castle Acre, the Royal Sandringham Estate and National Trust properties such as Blickling Hall.
Cambridge, Suffolk and Thetford Forest are also within reach for day trips. It is approximately a 20-minute drive to Norwich city centre with its castle, cathedral, historic shopping areas including the market, malls, cafés, pubs, restaurants, theatres and cinemas. The University of East Anglia is just a 15-minute drive. Two golf courses can be found within a 5-minute drive, and coarse trout fishing lakes are just a 10-minute drive away.
The area is also suitable for walking and cycling from the door (bicycles can be kept in the courtyard).
The market town of Wymondham is a 15-minute drive with its abbey, historic high street, market cross, pubs, cafés and Victorian railway station. Dereham is a 10-minute drive from the property with the Mid-Norfolk Steam Railway with its restored station and café, leisure centre with swimming pool, small bowling alley and cinema. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
