This is the ideal location for exploring all of Norfolk, it is within an hours’ drive of the north Norfolk coastline, with its excellent beaches, RSPB Reserves and salt marshes, famous Norfolk Broads and the fine city of Norwich.
Enjoy a visit to The Royal Sandringham Estate, open to the public when the royals are not in residence. Get ‘on-board’ the Mid-Norfolk Railway; running steam and heritage diesel services between Dereham and Wymondham, a must for any train enthusiast. You will find golf courses at Mattishall, ½ mile and Barnham Broom 2½ miles, and there are trout fishing lakes at East Tuddenham 2½ miles. The Norfolk Broads are 26 miles for daily boat hire, river trips, shops, waterside cafés and restaurants.
The city of Norwich, 18 miles, has a castle museum, theatre, market square, excellent shopping, art galleries, cafés and restaurants. For walks, the Peddars Way and the Coastal Path are also easily accessible. The pretty and historic town of Holt, 27 miles, has shops, cafés and restaurants. While the popular seaside resorts of Wells-next-the-Sea, Sheringham and Cromer offer excellent sandy beaches and amenities.
