They stand in the owner’s grounds, boasting their own private patios and enclosed fenced gardens, providing a perfect space for dogs and children.
The cottages ideal location is excellent for exploring Norfolk, which, by it’s very nature is dog and child friendly with a network of quiet lanes offering excellent walking, dog walking and cycling opportunities from your doorstep, and just a short drive to the delightful beaches at Mundesley, Trimingham, Bacton, Walcott, Sea Palling and Cromer. The spectacular beaches at Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Brancaster a little further afield. The village of Trunch, just a mile away has a fine medieval church, a corner store with post office and village pub serving food and a Social Club.
The seaside village of Mundesley is 2 miles for a sandy beach, and considered one of the best beaches in Norfolk, with swimming for youngsters and dogs and a thriving village centre with shops, crazy golf, skateboard park and children’s playground, golf driving range, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Happisburgh for the stunning lighthouse and Sheringham with it’s bustling town and frequent market are also within easy reach.
A visit to the quintessential seaside town of Cromer is a must do, topped off with fish and chips from the legendary Mary Janes! The town is 7 miles away, with a sandy beach, promenade, pier, RNLI working lifeboat station, museum, zoo park, golf course and the town centre with shops, cafés and restaurants. Award-winning Gunton Arms, set in a one thousand acre deer park and the locally acclaimed Vernon Arms are both a short drive as are day boats on the Norfolk Broads. Dog walkers will welcome the close proximity of the Paston Way, 5 minutes on foot, Pigneys Woods, 5 minutes by car and Bacton Woods, 280 acres of woodland just 15 minutes by car, with its three waymarked walks to leisurely seek out the 200-year-old trees.
The bustling market town of North Walsham is 4 miles and offers shops, a monthly farmers market, several pubs, cafés, supermarkets and a train station with a service to Norwich city. The cathedral city of Norwich is 19 miles and offers excellent shops with two indoor shopping malls, theatre, castle museum, cathedral, market square, cafés and fine restaurants. Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads is 14 miles for daily boat hire and river trips, waterside restaurants, cafés and shops. There is a village shop and pub in Trunch, 1 mile away and several pubs in Mundesley, takeaway fish and chips and is approximately 2 miles away.
