Should you be able to tear yourself away from Swannington Manor, you will find a wealth of things to see and do in the area. Close by lies the medieval city of Norwich, with its splendid Norman castle, numerous museums, galleries and theatres and a host of great places to eat and drink in.

There are also some unique shopping opportunities, including an award-winning market and the Lanes, a small warren with artisan shops and cafés. Heading to Wroxham, the gateway to the Norfolk Broads, you can charter your own day launch or join an organised tour and drift along these much celebrated waterways. Form here you can also take the Bure Valley Railway across open countryside to the bustling market town of Aylsham, or visit the wonderful world of BeWILDerwood.

You are also close to great walks and cycle routes along the Marriot Way, or step back in time with a visit to the beautifully preserved hamlet of Heydon. Alternatively, potter around the pretty Georgian town of Holt, or visit Sheringham Park, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections, the Blickling and Holkham Estates, North Norfolk Railways or Amazonia Zoo.
