For a historic seafront, head to Cromer and enjoy the promenade, wide sandy beach and the pier, with its traditional end of pier show. History enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with The Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections close by. The National Trust properties Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall are within easy reach, along with Sandringham House, Holkham Hall and the medieval city of Norwich. The National Trust Rhododendron and Azalea Walk at Sheringham Park, in season, is one of the country’s finest.

Also within easy reach lies Wroxham, the gateway to the Norfolk Broads and a great place to get on the water, relax and unwind. Birdwatchers, walkers and cyclists will also find lots to do, as will foodies as the area is littered with great places to eat, many of which serve local produce.
