Visit the city of Norwich with its stunning medieval cathedral and discover the history of the Norman castle which dates back to the 12th century and was used as a jail in the 13th century.
The Norfolk Broads are 6 miles away where you can hire day boats to explore the network of waterways. Hickling Broad Nature Reserve and visitor centre are easily reached, a serene nature preserve with waterside trails. Here you can experience the natural habitat of wading and nesting birds, and numerous species of wildlife.
Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens are home to a variety of animals including tigers, red pandas, snow leopards, amur leopards, clouded leopards, meerkats, gibbons, otters, crocodiles, alligators and reptiles along with a wide selection of exotic birds and waterfowl.
