An absolute beauty of a property located close to the centre of the historic market town of Oakham on a quiet residential street. The owners have really shown style and personality in this property with fantastic decorative features showcasing the mix of wood and exposed brickwork. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need to rustle up a lovely meal, and with the open-plan living space, everyone can enjoy time together. The living room area also can be used as extra sleeping space with a comfy sofa bed which can be converted into a double. Upstairs you have two bedrooms and a shower room. Outside you and your four-legged friends can enjoy access to an enclosed garden and inside, see if you can find the secret doggy door!

A short walk will take you into the traditional market town of Oakham, packed full of heritage, and enjoy an array of local facilities including high street and independent shops, cafés, tearooms, and restaurants.

The town also boasts a small castle and museum. The local train station is only a quick 3-minute walk with links to Birmingham New Street via Melton Mowbray and Leicester and Stansted Airport or Cambridge via Peterborough. There are also trains to London St Pancras.

No visit to Rutland is complete with time spent at the stunning ’Rutland Water’ which is just 4 miles away and can be reached by hiring bikes directly with the owner (payable locally). It boasts 4200 acres of open countryside and nature reserves where you can enjoy stunning walks, bird watching at the local nature reserve, fishing, rock climbing, high ropes, golf, crazy golf, boat trips, and water sports including windsurfing, sailing, canoeing, Aqua Park, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding during the summer.

Also within easy driving distance are more local market towns including Uppingham and Stamford with more independent shops and eateries. There are plenty of places to visit including Burghley House, with its annual horse trials, 14 miles, Boughton House, Barnsdale Gardens, Sacrewell Farm, and Rockingham Castle.
