Curlew cottage is a delightful, semi-detached barn conversion adjacent to the owner’s own home and is situated near the village of Hope, surrounded by wonderful countryside views.
From the outside, this cottage retains its original charm. While inside, guests will enter the cosy country kitchen, home to all those essentials you may need during your holiday.
Windows throughout the property allow plenty of natural light in the rooms while ensuring the lush greenery outside can be viewed and admired from within. Stone walls follow you as you wander into the sitting room, where you can relax on the sofa come night-time. A shower room completes the ground floor.
Take the stairs from the living room up to the roomy king-size bedroom, quiet and peaceful. You will look forward to sleeping the night away under the exposed ceiling beams. A single bedroom, off the double with a sloped ceiling and Velux window completes the accommodation.

It is worth noting that because the shower room/toilet are downstairs if privacy is an issue, this cottage may not be suitable for three adults.
The small, enclosed patio garden is where you will want to be on a nice day, resting in the sun, next to the colourful flowers and plants. Located off the beaten track, Curlew Cottage is nicely tucked away in a peaceful, rural setting within the lovely Shropshire Hills. The surrounding area is rural, with impressive landscapes and wonderful walking trails all around.
There are plenty of interesting things to do in the area with the National Trust, Powys Castle, Wroxeter Roman City, and the museums at Ironbridge nearby. Shrewsbury is full of life and things to be discovered by foot or by boat. The café culture, weekly farmer’s market, the castle, and lots of attractive independent shops are just under a 30-minute drive.

Further afield takes you to the medieval market town of Ludlow, famous for its castle as well as many food and drink festivals throughout the year to enjoy. A delightful location that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Please note there are two gates and a single track on your approach to the property, which is about 150 metres long.
Dog owners please note that the private patio garden of the cottage has no grass in it. Guest dogs can use the grassy area at the front of the property on lead only. The fields surrounding the property are not owned by the owner of this property and are always occupied by sheep so dogs cannot be exercised off the lead in them.
This property can be booked with Heron Cottage (UK40743) to accommodate up to 7 guests
