The farm trail has a wealth of nature, tiny owls, buzzards, hares, dramatic scenery and acres of land with walking access. Hartington village has excellent pubs and cafes where lovely cream teas can be purchased and enjoyed. The Tissington Trail is four miles away with cycle hire. Carsington Water for sailing and watersports is within easy reach. Chatsworth, the medieval Haddon Hall or in contrast Alton Towers fun park and spa can all be visited whilst staying at Red Lion House.
Buxton renowned for its Opera House and Pavilion Gardens is a short drive away. You are also at the gateway to the dales, and the Peak District National Park, the perfect place to enjoy long walks, leisurely bike rides or horse riding in the quiet Derbyshire countryside.
