No3 On The Severn
For a big gathering that wants character as much as comfort, this riverside house in Low Town Bridgnorth stands out. Built in 1693 and long tied to the town’s trading past, it has evolved from a former hostelry and B&B into a polished stay for 14, with 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms spread over several floors. The setting is a talking point in itself: right by the River Severn and beside the famous cliff railway, with Bridgnorth’s shops, bars and restaurants close at hand.
What makes it memorable for groups is the amount of social space. The kitchen/dining room is geared up for a full house with two cookers, two hobs and two fridges, while downstairs there’s a games room with pool, table football, darts and its own bar area. Several bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, one has both bath and walk-in shower, and there’s also a bathroom with a free-standing bath. Best of all is the cave built into the cliff face, used as a bar and seating area, plus an enclosed courtyard for sitting out.

Originally built in 1693, this historic home was once a riverman’s refuge when its location on the banks of the River Severn in Low Town Bridgnorth was a vibrant trading port. Over the centuries, the historic character of the building was maintained as it became a hostelry including a unique brewery, a hotel, and more latterly a B&B. The property has recently been significantly refurbished and upgraded, to now be presented as a luxury home with an enhanced specification and all modern amenities. Outside, there is a glorious and historic cave, that has been around since the Saxon times, which has been built into the cliff face. It houses an astro-turfed relaxing area and bar facilities.
Located in the heart of Bridgnorth Town itself, overlooking The River Severn and next door to the world-famous cliff railway, the property offers guests a comfortable, stylish, and luxurious place to stay. The property is a 5 min walk from all High Town and Low Town amenities with an array of shops, bars, and restaurants, including The Severn Valley Railway and visitor centre.
Blists Hill Victorian Town museum is also set nearby. Bridgnorth is fortunate to have many attractions scattered around its luscious countryside. You can havean unforgettable time travelling by steam railway.
Just a short car journey takes you to the world-famous Ironbridge and its popular museums, The Royal Air Force Museum and Boscobel House. A few miles upstream of Bridgnorth is Shrewsbury, England’s finest Tudor town, which has one of the best waterfronts, a wide variety of shops, bars, and a riverside theatre. Attingham Park, Benthall Hall, Dudmaston Hall, Rays Farm Country Matters, Much Wenlock, West Midland Safari Park, Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow are also well worth a visit.
