It sits a mile above the banks of the River Wye at Brockweir, with its excellent local shop and pub, is a few minutes’ drive from Tintern Abbey and offers wonderful walking as it is right on the Offas Dyke Path. This border territory is marked by stunning scenery and has brooding castles at Chepstow and Raglan, and market towns of Abergavenny and Monmouth to explore with more excellent walking in the Forest of Dean and along the riverbank.
