This 1840s cottage, adjoining the owners property, overlooks the towpath of the Peak Forest canal, close to the marina, and with an outlook to the High Peak Moors. There’s a patio and lawn, and the first floor kitchen door opens to a small terrace overlooking the water. A good value holiday base for the Peak Park, with Buxton and Castleton an easy drive, and for the museums and nightlife of Manchester. There is a supermarket, 1 mile away, which can be reached by a walk along the canal towpath, or 5 minutes by car. Horse riding and golf can be found nearby. There is a fish and chip takeaway, 300 yards away. Supermarket 1 mile, pub 400 yards and pub serving food 2 miles.
Spoilt for choice - barn conversion or bungalow? Heart of England has wonderful wildlife. There is plenty of properties that welcome dogs to stay in Worcestershire, Herefordshire or Stratford-Upon-Avon - some have beaches close by.
