Hidden away in a peaceful corner of the countryside, this secluded retreat offers the perfect place to slow down, reconnect with nature and escape the pace of everyday life. Surrounded by open farmland, quiet lanes and big skies, the area is ideal for long walks, gentle cycles and peaceful mornings listening to birdsong.
The landscape here is wonderfully unspoilt, with miles of footpaths weaving through rolling fields, hedgerows and ancient woodland. It’s the sort of place where you can wander for hours without seeing another soul, stopping for picnics under wide skies or simply enjoying the calm of the countryside. In the evenings, with very little light pollution, the stars shine brilliantly overhead, making it a magical place to end the day.
Despite its tranquil setting, the beautiful market town of Stamford is only a ten-minute drive away. Often described as one of England’s most attractive towns, Stamford is famous for its honey-coloured stone buildings, historic streets and welcoming atmosphere. Spend the day browsing independent shops, antique stores and cosy cafés, or enjoy a relaxed meal in one of the many traditional pubs and restaurants.
History lovers will enjoy exploring Burghley House, a magnificent Elizabethan country house set within a vast deer park just outside the town. The surrounding area also offers beautiful countryside drives, charming villages and plenty of opportunities for exploring local food markets and farm shops.
Backat the property, you’ll find a wonderfully cosy and characterful converted stable block designed for one or two guests.
The open-plan layout is bright and inviting, with exposed beams, whitewashed walls and rustic touches that create a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Large floor-to-ceiling windows look out onto the garden, filling the space with natural light.
Inside, the living space flows from a well-equipped kitchen to a large farmhouse dining table and two deep armchairs set beside a wood-burning stove—perfect for curling up on cooler evenings. Beyond this sits a comfortable queen-size bed, along with a shower and loo.
Outside, a private garden awaits, with a bench beneath a fig tree and space to relax, read or dine outdoors.
