Set on a peaceful working farm just outside Louth in Lincolnshire, Stables offers a relaxing countryside retreat surrounded by some of the county’s most appealing rural scenery. Louth, often known as the “Capital of the Wolds,” is a vibrant market town full of character, with Georgian streets, independent shops, artisan food outlets and friendly cafés. Its bustling weekly markets and the striking spire of St James’ Church—one of the tallest of its kind in England—give the town a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Beyond Louth lies the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering rolling hills, far-reaching views and tranquil footpaths. Walkers and cyclists will find countless routes to explore, including gentle tracks starting right from the farm.

Nearby Hubbard’s Hills, with its wooded valley, grassy slopes and stream, is perfect for picnics and relaxed family strolls. The wider countryside is dotted with wildlife reserves, traditional pubs and quiet villages, making it an ideal setting for visitors who enjoy peaceful outdoor adventures.
The Lincolnshire coast is also close by, offering long sandy beaches, nature-rich saltmarshes and classic seaside towns for easy day trips. Whether you prefer calm walks, local food and markets, or family-friendly activities, the area around Stables provides a wide variety of things to see and do throughout the year.
Located on the ground floor of the historic Coach House, Stables was originally built in the 18th century to stable the Brackenborough Hall horses. Today it offers comfortable accommodation for 3–4 guests.

The open-plan living area includes seating, a dining table, TV and DVD player, while the well-equipped kitchen features a dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave and washing machine with drier. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, and the single room with garden views includes an additional pull-out bed. A double sofa bed in the living area provides extra flexibility. The bathroom offers both a bath with overhead shower and a separate wet-floor shower. Original features such as hay racks, a manger and herringbone brick floors add character, while central heating, free Wi-Fi, and all linens and towels ensure comfort. Guests also enjoy the Coach House garden, play area, lawns, farm walks, table tennis, parking and seasonal produce.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests
