This wonderful area is an ideal base for circular riverside and country walks, and to explore the Severn Way, with its own walks and perfect picnic spots.

Many National Trust properties in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, including Berrington Hall, Brockhampton Estate, Hanbury Hall and Woodchester Mansion, are worth a visit, as are Bristol, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and Cirencester. Within easy driving are golf, ski slopes, coastal walks, Cotswold walks plus the Gloucester and Sharpness canal walks. Also within easy driving are Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetland Park, Cotswold Water Park, Berkeley Castle and Butterfly House, Prinknash Abbey (bird and deer park), Thornbury Castle and Cheltenham Race Course.
The historic town of Tewkesbury with its famous abbey, Westonbirt Arboretum, Stratford-upon-Avon, the Roman city of Bath, Regency Cheltenham and the cathedral cities of Bristol and Gloucester with their historic docks are also close by. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
