Highmoor Park Cottage is a double bedroom property, perfect for couples who are looking to escape to the country. The cottage stands next to the owner’s residence, set in 70 acres of parkland and woodland, in the Oxfordshire Chilterns, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is situated 6 miles west of Henley-on-Thames and 8 miles north of Reading. Whilst staying at the cottage, guests are able to use the indoor heated swimming pool that also features a pool table, table football and darts board, there is also the use of a tennis court in the grounds. You’re likely to see a variety of wildlife whilst staying at the property including red kites and deer, the grounds have horses and there is a possibility to ride them or bring your own.
There are stables and paddocks available for use (arranged direct with the owner).
Guests can take a relaxing walk through the owners’ surrounding parkland and venture to one of the many popular pubs and restaurants the area is well known for, one local pub is an extremely atmospheric pub likened to stepping back in time with its chocolate box exterior and interior from times gone by. It is over 400 years old and has been run by members of the same family for over 100 years and is well worth a visit.
Other places of interest nearby include the picturesque town of Henley-on-Thames, known most commonly the world over for its Royal Regatta held in the first week of July, and Reading, one of the country’s most up and coming towns, being the heart of the UK’s Silicon Valley and offering convenient access to London by train or motorway.
