Broccoli Bottom is a collection of four aptly named properties; Parsnip Place (UK32606), Mange-Tout Maison (UK32607), Fennel Folly (UK32608) and Carrot Cottage (UK32609). Set in 7 acres of open countryside close to Rutland Water. In the grounds of the main house, these four properties are perfect for short breaks for couples and families wishing to explore the wonderful area of Rutland, the UK’s smallest county.
Within a short walk you will find yourself on the Rutland water circular path; the more adventurous may wish to complete the whole 24-mile route on foot, or by bike. You may get distracted though, as you need to pass the village pub to get to the water! There are many activities to take part in and places to visit during your time in Rutland.
There is something for everyone, head to the nature reserve to observe the Rutland Osprey Project; hire bikes for a ride in the 4,200 acres of open countryside; enjoy adrenalin fuelled water sports, including sailing, canoeing, paddle boarding and windsurfing; go fishing; play a round of golf, be it 18 hole or crazy golf; or simply relax on the seasonal beach. The historic market towns of Oakham and Uppingham are within 3 miles and enjoy an array of antique shops and galleries, independent shops and eateries to discover.
A little further is the historic Georgian town of Stamford 12 miles, with its cobbled streets and individual shops. Other places to visit during your stay at Broccoli Bottom include Burghley House, Belvoir and Rockingham Castles, Rockingham Speedway and Barnsdale Gardens. With so much to see and do, and with such a warm welcome from the owner, you’ll make Broccoli Bottom the No. 1 choice for accommodation in this beautiful part of the UK.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 16 guest
