Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with kingsize bed and a spacious bathroom with shower cubicle. Outside, there is an interesting pond area within the large lawned landscaped gardens that are shared with the owners, who live adjacent, but you have your own patio area with garden furniture allowing guests to enjoy al fresco dining.
Harriseahead is a quiet village nestling under the ancient folly of Mow Cop Castle which sits near the end of the Gritstone Trail, a great challenge for walkers. Situated right on the edge of the border between Cheshire, the Staffordshire moorlands and Stoke-on-Trent. There is an abundance of National Trust properties nearby, including Biddulph Grange, Little Moreton Hall, Quarry Bank Mill and Tatton park.
The beautiful town of Leek, on the edge of the Peak District National Park, is a Mecca for antique hunters and is 11 miles away. The market town of Congleton is 3½ miles away, and the heritage towns of the Potteries are also close by. Also well worth a full day visit is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jodrell Bank Observatory and the Lovell Telescope, as well as the Trentham Estate and shopping village.
