Quill Corner is a hidden gem resting peacefully behind the main cobbled street of the popular historic market town of Alnwick. This beautifully presented apartment is situated on the first floor of a detached Grade II listed house. Constructed in 1850, it has an elevated position offering bright and airy rooms throughout.
Pull up into your allocated parking space – a rare addition for a central apartment. Enter the property through its own front door and make use of the small cloaks space to hang your coats and slip off your boots before heading upstairs. Put your feet up in the cosy lounge and settle in front of the electric stove whilst watching a good film on the Smart TV. The dining nook with comfortable seating for four is a lovely addition. The contemporary kitchen is right next door, bright and airy with a big sash window with a view up the historic alley way, with modern appliances.

Quill Corner has two bedrooms, one has a king size bed with wall mounted TV and the second bedroom is a twin room. Both bedrooms are immaculately presented and will ensure a restful and comfortable sleep. The bathroom is white and bright, take your pick from a bath or shower before starting your day. When you’re ready to begin exploring this historic town, begin with a trip to the famous Alnwick Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the UK and used as ‘Hogwarts’ when filming scenes for the ‘Harry Potter’ films. The Alnwick Garden is an exciting visit with its spectacular formal garden, Grand Cascade waterfall, poison garden and the largest tree house in Europe where guests can dine in the restaurant.

Heading 4 miles east is the picture-perfect coastal village of Alnmouth with a gorgeous sandy beach, great local eateries and quaint shops. A short drive west brings you to the small town of Rothbury at the foot of the Simonside Hills where the River Coquet ebbs and flows, perfect for keen walkers and cyclists to explore. A 20-minute drive takes you to the harbour village of Seahouses offering a wide array of tearooms, fish and chip restaurants, pubs and shops. Boat trips to the Farne Islands run from the harbour. Horse riding is available on the cusp of the village and there is an impressive golf course on the links close by. Beautiful Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island are also an easy drive away, be sure to check the tide times! Beach within 4 miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants are a 1-minute walk.
