Here you can discover the Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world famous Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall. Also within a short walk is the pretty town of Haltwhistle, which is the geographic centre of Britain, here there is a sports centre and outdoor heated swimming pool, as well as Burn Gorge, also a selection of shops, bars and eateries.

A must on the list to visit is the historic market town of Hexham, which boasts a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country, and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue on to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge, and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, or stop for a coffee after taking a stroll along the river. The Newcastle/Carlisle railway line, runs in front of the cabin. You can catch a train from nearby Bardon Mill station with a stopping service in each direction every 2 hours.
